Armed Forces Day

Less Than Four Weeks To Go Until Whitby's Armed Forces Day,

Saturday 30th June, 10am – 4pm, on Dock End

Armed Forces Day is an annual celebration of our local military connections and a way for the town to show our support for all our armed forces personnel, past and present.

This family fun day, organised by Whitby Town Council, will be a celebratory event including music, entertainment, stalls and activities.

Each year a different military charity is supported and this year we will be raising funds for SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity which exists to relieve need, suffering and distress amongst the Armed Forces, veterans and their families in order to support their independence and dignity. Watch out for further details nearer the time.

Do get in touch if you would like to support the event now by providing a tombola prize, offering a donation to the charity, baking some cakes for the cake stall or if you would like to help out on the day.

Phone us on 01947 820227 or email us at deputy.clerk@whitbytowncouncil.gov.uk
