Market Place Toilets re-open after major refurbishment
Councillor Rebecca Pearson re-opened the Market Place Toilets following major refurbishments on Thursday 12th July 2018. East Pier Footbridge
The Town Council made the following unanimous resolution at their meeting held 10th July 2018.
"That Whitby Town Council commits to funding a contribution to the reinstatement of the East Pier Footbridge by financing the expenditure over a twenty year period at a cost of £6k per annum, the Town Council will endeavour to achieve this without impacting on the precept.

Statement received from Scarborough Borough Council Our position remains;
Prior to any formal action we assess if it is in the public interest. If someone has used the prior steps, because of a genuine inability to use the ones at the new limit of the beach ban, and in doing so kept their dog on a lead and walked straight out of the restricted area, it would be unlikely that any action would be taken...
