Former Whitby Mayor Dorothy Clegg

Former Whitby Mayor and Cllr Dorothy Clegg passed away peacefully on the 23rd April 2025, aged 93. A much loved and respected friend and colleague.

Service to be held at on Monday 12th May, St Hilda's RC Church, at 12noon.

Dorothy is honoured in The Whitby Lasses Exhibition at Whitby Museum, on display until 15th June.

Whitby Town Council would like to share our condolences with Dorothy's family and friends.
