The Whitby Covid-19 Spike
Whitby has been highlighted, by Scarborough Borough Council and by North Yorkshire County Council as a concentration of Covid-19 infection, with significant spikes across the town. But the data being reported are averages across the whole borough and are significantly underplaying the local statistics which have seen a rate of 824.2 per 100,000 in South and East Whitby by 10 November. Toilets Open During Lockdown

Remembrance Sunday
The rules regarding Remembrance have been subject to adjustment since Saturday. The town council is creating a 'virtual wreath laying' which will be made available via our Facebook page on Sunday morning.

Lockdown
The Pannett Gallery, in conjunction with the Whitby Museum operated by the Literary and Philosophical Society will be closed from today (3 November) until the end of the current national lockdown. The gallery is available virtually via its dedicated website.
