Public Toilets
Whitby Town Council manages the public toilets on New Quay Road, Pier Road, West Cliff, the Abbey Headland and in the Market Place. We also run the toilets in Ruswarp.
We charge 40p to enter the public toilets so that these are available to anyone who wants to use them without the cost falling on the council tax payers of Whitby.
Our turnstiles accept cash and cashless payments.
This link opens the location of these toilets in a separate page.
There will be a temporary closure of the toilets at New Quay Road on 18 and 19 September to carry out electrical work to the building.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
Alternative locations are the town council's toilets on Pier Road and in the Market Place or the Front Marina Toilets operated by North Yorkshire Council.
Our toilets are regularly cleaned. Please be mindful of government advice on hand hygiene and social distancing when using any public toilet.
The opening times vary depending on the season.
