Public Toilets - our toilets are open

Whitby Town Council manages the public toilets on New Quay Road, Pier Road, West Cliff, the Abbey Headland and in the Market Place. We also run the toilets in Ruswarp.

We charge 40p to enter the public toilets so that these are available to anyone who wants to use them without the cost falling on the council tax payers of Whitby.

Our turnstiles accept cash and cashless payments.

This link opens the location of these toilets in a separate page.

Our toilets are regularly cleaned. Please be mindful of government COVID-19 advice on hand hygiene and social distancing when using any public toilet.

The opening times vary depending on the season.

Access Code for School Parties

For school parties, we require the following form be completed and sent back to the Town Council offices and the fee paid prior to the visit. The code will be given when the payment has been made.

  • Application for Schools toilet passcode (Word Document, 54 Kb)

Application for Schools toilet passcode to allow use of Whitby toilets at West Cliff, Pier Road, New Quay Road and Abbey Car Park at a nominal charge
